How precious is a sigh from a person, for the sigh is the completion of what is lacking. From this, the concept of breath, spirit - the breath of life- the entire universe was created as is says in Psalm 33, "By the word of God, the heavens were created, and by the breath of his mouth, all of his hosts."

And for the renewal of creation will also be through this concept of breath as it says in Psalm 104, "Send forth your ruach and create and renew the face of the earth." And spirit is also the life of the individual for the life of man is breath, for as it is written in genesis 2, "And god breathed into the nostril of Adam the breath of life". And it is written I Genesis 7, "All who have the breath of the spirit of life in their mouths." And as the Rabbis say, If the breath stops, life stops, because the essential life of all things has to do with spirit and breath and therefore, if anything is lacking, the lacking is always connected to the life of that thing. i.e. the spirit and breath, for it is always the breath that sustains the thing. And the sigh is the long breath, "erach apaim" therefore when a person sighs, and a person takes a long breath, then he draws a breath of life to the place of lack. Therefore, sighing can make whole whatever is lacking.
