Spiritual Stocktaking for the Jewish New Year: Wednesday September 24th, 2008 Or Shalom Synagogue Join Evelyn Neaman and Steve Herman for an evening yoga workshop to help prepare yourself for the new year. The month of Elul is the time for introspection. The evening integrates principles and practices of yoga, including: breath work, meditation, chanting and complementary yoga postures, with the ancient Jewish tradition of “Tshuvah”, the Hebrew word meaning, reflection, repentance, and renewal. This workshop is open to anyone wanting to explore the parallels and practices of yoga (to unite) and tshuvah (to return). All are welcome but space is limited. Pre-registration is required and payment is a donation to Or Shalom. For more information or to register call Evelyn Neaman @ (604)738-9295 or by e:mail: tikkunyoga@shaw.ca. | |||||
